James Lee "Jim" Buoy, 68, resident of rural Dewey, died at 5:43 AM, Monday.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Roger Sheppard officiating.
James Lee Buoy was born on July 3, 1945 at Oglesby the son of Harold and Stella (Johnson) Buoy. He was raised in the Oglesby area. He served in the US Army during Viet Nam where he became disabled. He married Nancy Pierce on September 3, 1971 in Denton, Texas. They came to Dewey in 1987 and she preceded him in death on September 12, 2005. He volunteered at several parks in the Oklahoma City area. He liked to play golf and when he was young he liked to hunt but in his later years he decided he would rather watch and feed the animals. He loved to garden and he loved his dog Molly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy, one daughter Lawana Clark and one grandson Cory Edwards, three brothers and one sister. Friends who wish may sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.stumpff.org.
