From The Palmer Journal, Thursday, May 16, 1957, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney:
Accident Takes Life of Archer Man -
August Belitz, Archer, was killed in a two-car crash on Highway 14 north of Fullerton Saturday night.
Belitz formerly farmed northeast of Palmer.
The State Safety Patrol said the cars collided head on.
(The car was driven by August's son-in-law, Dean Trosper, and they had just left the farm of August's son, Elmer Belitz. The other driver was intoxicated. August also suffered from hemophilia which made the crash fatal for him.)
