Pamela Sue Allsup, 51, of Oskaloosa died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. She was born Sep. 2, 1953, in Oskaloosa, daughter of Edgar Dean Allsup and Doris Eileen (Merriman) Allsup. Pam lived with her parents until 1990, when she moved to Mahaska Diamond Shelter; she was presently living at Edmundson House Group Home. Prior to moving to Diamond Shelter, she traveled to Ottumwa, where she worked for Tenco Industries Inc. for several years; for the last 15 years she had worked at the Christian Opportunity Center in Oskaloosa. Pam was a member of 146 Order of the Eastern Star, and she was very proud of her membership at a local church. She enjoyed all kinds of music, overnight camping, and especially her dog, Cindy. Pam is survived by her Mother, Doris Allsup of Oskaloosa; a sister Joan Sqopinski of Greenbay, Wisc; and two aunts, Alice Chamberlin of Fairfield, Ark, and Helen Hendricks of Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her father Dean Allsup on Nov 10, 1979, and her paternal grandparents, Ernie and Mamie Allsup.
