Mr. Sylvania Jackson "Jack" Nash, Jr., age 62, of Rome, GA, formerly of Gwinnett Co., died at a local hospital. Mr. Nash was born in Lawrenceville, GA on August 9, 1951, son of the late Sylvania Jackson Nash, Sr. and Ruby Dean Savage Nash. He was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Jamison Nash. Mr. Nash was a U. S. Army veteran, and he had retired from PDI Plumbing as a working manager. Mr. Nash enjoyed all types of sports, especially the Atlanta Braves and golfing. His family was a very important aspect of his life. While he will not be in our daily routine, we will continue to remember him and benefit from our time with him. Survivors include his wife, Betty Fowler Nash, Rome; a son, Adam Nash, and his wife, Samantha, Rome; five siblings, Denise Banks, and her husband, Warren, Gwinnett Co., Abe Nash, Gwinnett Co., Bruce Nash, and his wife, Dottie, Forsyth, GA, Terry Nash, Monroe, and Shannon Nash, and his wife, Amanda, Gwinnett Co; two grandchildren, Zach and Virginia Nash, Rome; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends also survive. A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his memory to your favorite charity. Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel and Crematory, has charge of the arrangements.
