Eliza Jane Hanson was single and working as a servant for Dr. George Jacoby in Tarentum in 1870 when her mother died. She must have been planning to marry soon because her mother's will, made 12/31/1869, left her the kitchen table, chairs, stove, household items, bedstead, and bedding.
Eliza Jane married George H. Kuhn sometime in 1870 and their first child was born about 1871. Eliza Jane and George buried seven of their children between 1878 and 1892, then Eliza Jane died in childbirth. She is buried alongside all her children, in the same plot as her mother. George was left with three children, Harvey Blair (age 19), Margaret Cecil (age 12), and Ethel (age 3).
By 1900 George had moved to Kansas with the girls. Harvey must have stayed in PA because he registered for the WWI draft in Allegheny Co., PA
