Charles Robert Abrams, 82, of Yuba City died March 3, 2002, at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Born in Curlew, Wash., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 42 years. He was a baker for Safeway Stores for 60 years and served in the U.S. Navy during Word War II.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn E. Abrams of Yuba City; four sons, a daughter, a sister, eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Garner and Eugene Garner, and a daughter, Linda Garner.
Services: A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Sutter Cemetery with Rick West officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lipp and Sullivan Funeral Chapel.
