A funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, in the Beaverton Stake Chapel (Garden Home Road) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Laurence Edward Arnold, who died Nov. 3 at age 61.

Mr. Arnold was born May 9, 1942, in La Grande. After growing up in Portland, he graduated from the University of Oregon and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for architecture firms in Portland, Anchorage, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles before owning his own firm, the Laurence E. Arnold Architecture Firm. In 1988, he married Linda Pounds.

Survivors include his wife; stepdaughters, Kristina Whitaker and Augusta Olsen; parents, Loyd and Frances; brother, Ron; and two grandchildren.
