Mr. Haynes was born August 6, 1920, in Summerfield, NC, and passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014.
He was a son of the late Carl Blackburn Haynes and Jewell Williams Haynes.
He attended Laurel Baptist Church. Mr. Haynes served his country during World War II as a navigator and retired from the United States Air Force Reserve as a lieutenant colonel. He also retired from NCR after 40 plus years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Foster Haynes and children, Robert C. Haynes, Terry A. Haynes (Virginia), Debra H. Bass (John), Kenneth L. Haynes (Katrina) and Sandra Lynn Tutton (Daryl); 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Haynes (Libby).
He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, Annie Haynes, C.B. Haynes, Jr., Estherbelle H. Goolsby, Mary H. Angel, Jewell H. Dallas, Oscar Haynes and Carlene H. Jones.
