Mary Messerschmidt who has lived in this community since the turn of the century, died Friday, June 9 at Northern Pines Good Samaritan Center. She was 90 years old.
Born September 21, 1887 at St. Hilaire, Minn., she taught school in early years and was married to Frederick Messerschmidt in 1902 at Blackduck. They moved to Quiring in 1910 and she has resided at Northern Pines since August 10, 1970.
Her husband preceded her in death October 30, 1966 and the only survivor is a brother-in-law, George Messerschmidt, International Falls.
