Carol Sue Carlyle , nee Allen, 65, of Sparta, Ill., born Nov. 10, 1943, at Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, Ill., died at 5:22 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, Ill.
Mrs. Carlyle was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Sparta Senior Center.
Carol was preceded in death by a son, David; her parents, Harry L. and Alma, nee Mehrer, Allen; four brothers and a sister.
Surviving are her husband, Robert T. Carlyle Sr., of Sparta, Ill., whom she married July 5, 1974, in Carlyle , Ill.; daughters, Lynn Marie (Donald) Averbeck of Marissa, Ill., and Michelle Conway of Tilden, Ill.; sons, Eugene William Conway Jr., of Eldorado, Ill., Danny Lee Conway of Belleville, Ill., and Robert T. Carlyle Jr. of Sparta, Ill.; sisters, Geraldine Kronenberger of Belleville, Ill., and Margaret Bruce of Belleville, Ill.; brothers, Leroy Lynch of Belleville, Ill., Leonard Lynch of Lebanon, Ill., and Edgar Lynch of Belleville, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the fineral home with Pastor Phillip Easton officiating. Interment will be in Tilden Village Cemetery in Tilden, Ill.
