Obituary
Gertrude E Lohrke, 83, of Albion, Mi., died Saturday, April 25 at her residence after a long illness.
Services are Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapel in Albion, Mi. The Rev, Geary F Bird will officiate.
Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Albion, Mi.
Visitation is today for 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
A lifetime resident of the area, she was born Aug 20, 1904 to Vernon A and Mildred [Wellington] Bayn in Albion, Mi.
She married Leonard D Lohrke Sr on Oct. 25, 1922 in Concord, Mi.
A 1922 graduate of Concord High School, Mrs Lohrke was a member of the St Paul's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Ladies Aid Society, the South Albion Woman'c Club, the Hannah Tracey Grant Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Albion Historical Society.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Leonard Jr of Albion, three grandchildren; Leonard III of Homer, Katheleen Ann Benden of Mainz, Germany and Lee Lohrke of Albion, Mi. and six great grandchildren.
