ALBERT H SCHWALENBERG

Albert H. Schwalenberg, 73, of Potter, a retired cheesemaker and implement dealer, died Saturday morning at St. Nicholas Hospital following a heart attack.

He was born Aug. 30, 1882 in the town of Rantoul, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schwalenberg. On April 13, 1907 he married the former Ellie Kasper at the Potter Reformed Church. They operated a cheese factory in Hilbert until 1917 when they moved to Potter and retired. His wife died about 25 years ago.

He was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rantoul, belonged to the Men’s Club of the church, and served as director of the Farmers State Bank, Potter from 1932 until his death.

Survivors are three sons, Armond of Potter, Gerald of Appleton, Vernon of Sheboygan; and a brother, Martin of Potter; and seven grandchildren. In addition of his wife, two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul. The Rev. Theodore Hilgendorf will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
