Albert Sid Carter, 72, died at 9:00 a.m. Friday.
A retired farmer and a member of the Braytown Christian Church,Carter was a native of Switzerland County and had resided in Madison for the past six years.
He is survived by a son: Albert R., Madison; three daughters: Mrs. Alma Jean Carter Rayles and Miss Wilma Lucille "Bill" Carter, both of Vevay and Mrs. Loretta Kirkendall, Nebraska; three brothers: Noble L. Carter, Bedford, Ky.; Gaines Lee Carter and Ivan, both of Carrollton; three sisters: Mrs. Lucy Mae Carter Harmon, Bedford, Ky.; Mrs. Mattie Ellen Carter Bickers, Carrollton; and Mrs. Annabelle Leising, Newport, Ky.; eight grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. today with burial in the Vevay Cemetery. Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
