Daughter of Morris McQueen and Celestia Smith. Cleo was the widow of Paul Weitz. Paul was killed in 1943 an automobile accident while serving in the military in Kentucky during World War II. She never remarried.

Cleo Marie Weitz, 92, Atchison, died Friday, July 31, 1998, at the Atchison Hospital. Services were Tuesday at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Cremation followed the services. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Atchison. Mrs. Weitz and her husband owned and operated the ABC Ice and Coal Company for 10 years. She also worked as a seamstress for over 25 years at the Atchison Hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1905, in Rushville, Mo., the daughter of Maurice W. and Celestial P Smith McQueen. She moved to St. Joseph with her parents and graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph. She moved back to Atchison in 1934. She married Paul G. Weitz in 1934 in Kansas City. He died in 1943. Survivors include a niece, Audrey LaFever, Sun Lakes, Ariz.
