Charles D. Dutton, 63, of near Houston, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, in Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, after a long illness.

He was born in Minden, La., and graduated from the Louisiana State University in 1928 and moved to Delaware in 1943. At the time of his death, he was the eastern representative for the York Casket Co., York, Pa.; a member of the 32d Degree Mason Temple Lodge No. 9, AF&AM, Milford; a member of the Shawnee Country Club; the Republican Committeeman for the 29th Representative District, and was an active Kent County Republican.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lillian T. Dutton; three daughters, Mrs. Lynn DeSille of Baton Rouge, La., Miss Charla Dutton of Newark, and Miss Sue Dutton of Milford; two brothers, Tom W. of New Orleans, and John G. of Baton Rouge, La.; and a granddaughter, Arlyn DeSille of Baton Rouge, La. Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at 2 p.m. at the Lofland Funeral Home, Milford. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, Milford.
