Ruth I. Timmony, died Wednesday, June 18 in Arlington, Virginia. Ruth was born in Detroit and was raised in Columbus. She attended St. Mary of the Springs Elementary School and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Business College. A long-time resident of Washington, D.C., Ruth worked on Capitol Hill for 30 years. At the time of her death she was employed by the legal firm of Samuel Neel. She is survived by many loving relatives and friends in Columbus, Detroit, and Washington, D.C., including sister Jane Richards and brother James Timmony of Detroit; the Eberts and Brown families of Columbus, and the McAnespie family of Lancaster. The family will receive friends at the O'SHAUGHNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 405 E. Town St., on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Monday at Mother of Sorrows Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery. Burial to follow at the cemetery, 6440 S. High St. The family would welcome donations to the charity of your choice in Ruth's memory.
