CENTRALIA, Washington - Gertrude Smith Johnson Hedberg, 85 on November 1, 1996 in Centralia, Washington.
She was born on January 2, 1911 in Murray Utah to William C. and Mary Ann Wood Smith. Married Paul H. Johnson, October 6, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died on February 26, 1956. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Married Lee Hedberg, December 6 [5], l969 in Elko, Nevada. He died on May 1, 1989. Member LDS Church and a long time member of the DUP.
She was a wonderful homemaker, gardener, cook and artist. She gave many years of compassionate service taking care of her father from 1937 to 1956. She had a very funny sense of humor that everyone enjoyed.
Survived by a son... and daughter ...Centralia, Wash; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Ernest, Lawrence, Harry, Becky, Ansley, Laura.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 5, 1996 at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive where friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
