Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sweetwater Fundamental Baptist Church for Mrs. Ima Louise Burleson, 37, of Sweetwater, with the Rev. Charles Dunn, pastor, officiating.

The body will lie in state at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Anson, under the direction of Lawrence Funeral Home. Satterwhite Funeral Home handled local arrangements.

Mrs. Burleson was killed accidentally Thursday while deer hunting on the Green Ranch, nine miles northwest of Breckenridge. Her gun discharged while she was crossing a fence, shooting her in the abdomen. She died instantly.

District Judge Floyd Jones, in an inquest held following the shooting, ruled the death was accidental.

The death was the first hunting fatally in or around Breckenridge in 14 years. That previous death also happened on a Thanksgiving Day deer hunt.

Mrs. Burleson was born July 23, 1923, near Anson. She was employed as a waitress for Mrs. Starr's Chicken Shack in Sweetwater, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

With her Thursday were her sister, Mrs. Leila Lee, and her husband of Sweetwater and another couple whose names were not available. They had been hunting about an hour when the accident occurred about 1:15 p.m.

Surviving are a son and daughter, Bobby Cleveland, 16, and Barbara Louise, 18, both of Sweetwater; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Gann of Anson; a sister, Mrs. Leila Lee of Sweetwater; four brothers, W.D. Gann, Monroe Gann and Roy Gann all of Anson, and Thomas Franklin Gann of Abilene.
