"When Mrs. B. L. Browning closed her earthly career on February 13, Spring Hill church and community lost a highly respected and much beloved member.
Angie E. Ackley was born May 3, 1863, at Spring Hill, where she spent her entire life, never changing her home.
She was married to B. L. Browning December 29, 1895. Together they maintained one of the finest homes in the community. She took much delight in her home, church and community. For many years she was treasurer of the Ladies' Aid Society.
Her health had been poor for many months, gradually growing worse until the end came peacefully.
She is survived by her husband, Bradley L. Browning; four children, Adelia, Earl and Lesta at home and Robert of New Albany; two grandchildren, Margaret and Elaine Browning; one sister, Mrs. Callie Brown of Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral services were conducted in the home by her pastor, Rev. Robt. L. Cornell, assisted by a former pastor, Rev. E. L. Mathis of Glen Lyon, Pa.
In spite of the cold weather and icy roads, a host of friends came to bear silent testimony to the high regard in which Mrs. Browning was held." -- [obit]
