Doris A. Rowe, 54, of Springville, died Saturday at Greene County General Hospital.
Born Dec. 31, 1907, in Greene County, he was the son of David and Lucy (Bowers) Rowe. He was retired from the maintenance department of the Sarkes Tarzian factory. He was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ in Hendricksville.
Surivors include his wife, Marjorie (Price) Rowe; four stepdaughters, Phyllis Chipman and Helen Goad, both of Bloomfield, Almira Gibson of Ellettsville, and Velma Bland of Solsberry; one stepson, Robert Harper of Springville; two sisters, Mable Gentry of Freedom and Grace Daugherty of Lead Hill, Ark.; one brother, Dwight Rowe of Lawrenceburg; 16 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith (Oliphant) Rowe, and one sister, Mary Rone [Rowe].
