She received a teaching certificate from Whitewater (Wisconsin) Normal Scool in 1916 and her degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1920. She began working for thr YWCA and worked in Wisconsin, South Dakota and Beloit Wisconsin, and in several foreign countires. She moved to Janesville Wisconsin in 1961 where she taught citizenship to new Americans and Spanish at Milton, WI College.
