Patricia "Pat" L. McCarty, 72, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014, at Doctors West Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Born March 22, 1942, in Eleanor, Pat was a daughter of the late Peyton Lewis Newman Jr. and Anna Roberta Neal Newman King. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Zona Cantley and Peyton L. Newman III.
She was project manager for Loeb Electric in Columbus, Ohio, and a member of Eleanor Presbyterian Church.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Russell "Jack" W. McCarty of Hilliard, Ohio; sons, Russell W. McCarty II (Joyce) and John Michael McCarty (Terri), all of Hilliard, Ohio; grandchildren, Megan and Ian McCarty; brothers, William "Bill" Newman of Titusville, Fla., Art Newman of Norwalk, Ohio, and Patrick L. Newman of San Diego, Calif.; brother-in-law, James "Jim" Cantley of Nitro; sister-in-law, Avis Newman of Eleanor; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, May 31, at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield, with Pastor Charles V. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Eleanor.
