Cecil Riley, 102, of Russellville, went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 30, 2014.

The son of William and Emma (Green) Riley, he was born June 21, 1911 in Hector.

He married Drucilla Kimbrell on February 18, 1933 in Hector.

As a young man, he worked as a caddy at the Russellville Country Club.

He was a founding member, Sunday school superintendent and deacon of the Hector First Assembly of God.

His accomplishments include serving as mayor of Hector for 24 years and also working in construction as a carpenter and contractor, building at Arkansas Tech and Fort Chaffee. He also cut hair for many years on Saturday at the Hector barber shop.

After his retirement many of the gentlemen of Hector still came to his home for haircuts in the carport where he had his barber chair.

Mr. Riley was a master vegetable gardener who was known for his tomatoes and enjoyed going on the occasional deer hunt.

Above all he loved spending time with his family, especially his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Drucilla Riley; his parents; two sons, Bobby Riley and Bennie Riley; grandson, David Riley; three daughters-in-law, Joyce Riley, Linda Riley and Glenda Riley; four sisters and four brothers.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include three sons, Jimmy Riley and wife, Kathy of Hector, Ronnie Riley of Russellville and Gary Riley and wife, Brenda of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Fran Harmon and husband, Ron of Franklin, TN and Lawana Hamilton and husband, Dewayne of Russellville; 29 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 2PM, Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Hector Assembly
Of God. Rev Dean Caldwell, Rev C.K. Bull, and Pastor Shane Williams will
officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector by Humphrey
