Mrs. Hanson, 91, of Austin, a homemaker and former nurses' aide, died Friday (July 16, 1999) at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.
Alma Vivian Berry was born Nov. 5, 1907, in a sod house near Bowman, N.D. She married Henry L. Hanson on May 29, 1926. In her spare time, she liked doing ceramics and quilting, and enjoyed spending time at their northwoods cabin and in at Apache Junction, Ariz., in her retirement years.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois E. Carlson and Maxine "Mickey" (Mrs. Art) Dubke, both of Austin; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Cummings of San Diego. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, a son, four grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters.
Worlein Funeral Home in Austin is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation or reviewal.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
