Mrs. Jessie Mae Knight, 76, of Alpharetta, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Wildwood Healthcare Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Calvin Maddox, Rev. Joe Christopher and Rev. Richard Chance officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 pm until 10 pm and Sunday from 10 am until 10 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Knight was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Cora Lee Turner, son, Tom Knight, daughter, Audrey Knight, five sisters and two brothers; survivors include her husband, Rev. Thomas Knight; children, Nancy Goodwin, Sheila Goodwin, Joyce Butterworth and Joanne Wallace; siblings, Janice Frady, Judy Chance and Jerry Turner; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery Wallace, Dwayne Goodwin, Keith Knight, Randy Goodwin, Josh Jones and Michael Couch.
