Mary B. Bowman, 83, died Friday evening at the United Church Home where she had lived for the past 18 months. Born in Cleona the daughter of the late John H. and Fannie B. Kettering Long, she was the wife of the late Ammon G. Bowman. She was a member of the Annville Church of the Brethren, the home department of the Fontana Union Sunday School and a charter member of the Farm Women’s Group 11. She also served as a volunteer at the Lebanon VA Medical Center where she had over 1,000 hours of service. She is survived by three sons: J. Alfred Bowman of Cleona, George L. Bowman of Lebanon RD4, Harry G. Bowman of Lebanon; a daughter, Mary Jane, wife of Luther F. Klick of Cleona, 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: John G. Long, Harry A. Long, and Herman R. Long, all of Cleona; and Florence M. Long of Lebanon.
