Mr. Hubert Franklin Lentz, 69,
well known retired Toms Brook merchant, died Sunday night
at his home following an illness of ten days.
A son of Philip and Hannah Barr Lentz, he was born June
14, 1880 near Toms Brook. In 1905 he married Miss Minnie
Dean, who survives him.
Beside his wife, he is survived by nine children, Miss
Jane Lentz, at home; Harold F. Lentz, of York, Pa.; Mark
Lentz, of Winchester; Mrs. Mary Smith, of Arlington; Mrs.
Helen McWilliams, of Toms Brook; Ray Lentz, and Mrs. Reba
Smith, of Arlington; Mrs. Estes Burkes, of Toms Brook; and
Mrs. Eunice Beauch, of Arlington; 12 grand-children and one
great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from
St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Toms Brook with burial in
the Toms Brook Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: D. D. Hines, Elvin Kibler, Guy Rhodes,
J. M. Hockman, Stanley Gochenour, Harold Bauserman.

He married Minnie May Dean on Jan 5, 1905, daughter of Zedekiah D. Dean and Mary C. Fravel Dean.
Their marriage was blessed with the following children:
Harold Franklin
Mark Lee
Mary Hannah m. Smith
Helen Louise m. Lawrence McWilliams
Ray Dean
Reba Virginia m. Smith, m. Schappert
Esther Irene "Estie" m. Burks m. Nolan
Eunice May m. Beauch
Jane m. Rea
Margie Ann died at 10 years old
