The first and most important thing in his life was his wonderful wife, Phyllis, of 69 years and the family they raised together. He was always an example of strength and fortitude to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was renowned as the voice of wisdom in their lives.
Reese was an avid golfer and worked as the golf martial at the Entrada golf course since it opened in 1996. He was loved and well respected by all who knew him. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in many church callings.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis, of St. George, Utah, three daughters: Vicky Curtis (Steve) of Springville, Utah, Pam Cherrington (Kim) of Mapleton, Utah, Melissa Gail (Bryan) of Bedford, Wyoming as well as 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and one brother, Winford Allan of Draper, Utah. He was preceded in death by son, Gregory Allan; daughter, Stacy Bowler; grandson, Kit Allan; son-in-law, Dean Cram and brother, Bud Allan.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Morningside Stake House located at 879 South River Road St. George. Viewings will be held Sunday evening, June 1st, at the Spilsbury Mortuary from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday, June 2 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Stake House. Graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah Tuesday, June 3rd, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow with full Military Honors.
