Obituary:
Kenneth R. Mills "My Hero" born May 3, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas, went to Heaven May 28, 2014 at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Charlotte Mills. Mr. Mills was a graduate of Brackenridge High School and was employed by SWBT Co. (AT&T) for over 44 years.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Catharine B. Mills who he married June 29, 1957; children: Jack D. Mills and wife Anne, Lisa Mills Chetwood and husband Michael, and Kevin R. Mills and wife Tracy; grandchildren: Chelsea, Haley and Kenneth W. Mills, Madison, Julian and Walker Mills, and Emily and Hannah Chetwood; sister, Jacqueline Dockery and husband Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He served as the VP of the AFL–CIO, was past CWA Legislative Director, founding member of the SA Amateur Softball Assoc., Southside Rats, Old Timers Sports Assn., American Legion, United Way Board Member, NRA Member, Naval Reserve, Pioneer Club Member and assisted each year collecting fans for the elderly. He was a loved and respected man who will be missed by all who knew him.
