Stanley George Alberts, 92 passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014. He was born on July 5, 1921 to Peter and Orpha Richardson Alberts in Ogden, Utah.

He joined the Navy in 1942 and served during WWII in five major invasions in North Africa, Europe, and the Pacific earning five Battle Stars.

Stanley married his childhood sweetheart, Beverly Huss Alberts on September 6, 1941 in Ogden. They celebrated 73 wonderful years together, only separating by WWII and annual deer hunts.

He worked in management as a division chief at HAFB running the air force disposal operations and retired after 35 years.

Stanley liked to hunt and fish with his sons and family. Stanley and Beverly enjoyed traveling and camping with extended family. They enjoyed summers at their vacation property with grandchildren near Flaming Gorge teaching them how to catch and clean fish and ride motorcycles.

Stanley is survived by his wife Beverly and sons, Rick (Eileen) Alberts, Kurt (Jan) Alberts, Gary (Geri) Alberts, and Brent (Sonia) Alberts; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Ellsworth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Harry Alberts and Marilyn Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
