Mr. Bobby J. Woody, age 67 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, May 27th, 2014. He was born on September 5th 1946 in Fruithurst, Alabama. He was the son of the late John and Victoria Woody.
Mr. Woody is survived by his wife, Sara Woody; daughters, Melinda (Paul) Leatherwood, Lisa (Charles) Bryant, Brenda McClain, and Kim Chapman; his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Boyd and Elouise Alexander; and his brothers, Larry and Herman Woody.
Mr. Woody is preceded in death by his parents, John and Victoria Woody; his daughters, Penny Evans and Cathy Kenton; his sisters, Ruby Barkle and Shirley Arp; his brothers, Clifford, John Robert, and Hoyt Woody; and his grandchild, Taylor Leatherwood.
The funeral service for Mr. Bobby J. Woody will be conducted on Friday, May 30th, 2014 at Three o'clock in the afternoon in the Felton Baptist Church in Felton, Georgia, with Rev. Joe Shoemaker and Rev. Barry Sheriff officiating. He will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Goldin officiating the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Austin Leatherwood, Allen Arp, Leon Bowling, Shane Gulledge, Mitchell Keaton, Justin Kidd, and Ricardo Cambron. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Clonts, Ty Harrell, and Toby Norton.
The family of Mr. Woody will receive family and friends on Thursday, May 29th, 2014 from six o'clock to eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
