Earl Loraine Angleton was born February 15, 1894 in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Theodore Angleton and Bertha Alice Summers.

A longtime Plumas County resident, he had owned and operated the Associated Station in Portola for 15 years. He was also a World War I veteran.

Survivors included his wife, Marian of Beckwourth; and a step-brother in Quincy.
