Dolores E. Smith was born on September 18, 1925 at Royal, Nebraska to J.W. and Bertha Nielsen Williby. In 1941 her family moved to Blair where she attended school and graduated from Blair High School in 1944.
She married Harold Smith July 19, 1944. They were blessed with three sons and three daughters, grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She cared for many pre-school children throughout her life.
Services for Dolores (Dodie) Smith, age 67 of Blair, who died May 16, 1993 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church with burial in the Holy Cross cemetery. A rosary will be said at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Glenn, Herb and Lyle Williby, and one sister, Jeanene Williby.
Left with memories are her husband, children and their spouses, grandchildren and their spouses; two great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers, extended family; many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge.
