Michael Thomas Baker, 50, of 650 E. Columbus, died at 8:30 a.m. May 25, 2014 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Michael was born April 24, 1964 in Greensburg, the son of William and Carolyn Critser Baker. He married Jane Bayles on June 2, 1984.

Michael graduated from Columbus East High School in 1982 and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a Printing Press Operator at Printpack Inc. in Greensburg for 26 years. Some of his favorite pastime activities included watching Indy Car Racing and NASCAR. Michael enjoyed golfing, traveling, but especially enjoyed spending time at home with his family. He also loved working in his yard.

Survivors include his wife, Stephany Baker of Columbus; a son, Kason Baker of Columbus; daughters, Kiersten and Kelsey Baker, both of Columbus; his parents, William and Carolyn Critser Baker of Columbus; a brother, Steve (Tammy) Baker of Indianapolis and nieces and nephew Tyler, Mallone, and Madison Baker of Indianapolis.

The funeral will be Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with President N. Strait Hill officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday May 28, 2014 and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services.

Burial will be at Lower Union Presbyterian Cemetery in Decatur County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the I.U. Simon Cancer Center Christmas Cheer Fund through the funeral home.
