Mrs. Lillian Nagle, 74, of 131 West Hartford Street, Ashley, passed away yesterday morning at 12:20 in General Hospital where she had been a patient three weeks.
Born in New York City, December 5, 1885, Mrs. Nagle was a daughter of the late Alviron and Mary Tolan VanDreisn. She lived in Honesdale for some time and resided in Ashley most of her life. She and her husband observed their golden wedding anniversary last April 13. Mrs. Nagle was a member of St. Leo's Church, Ashley, and the Altar and Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Auxiliary of Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Auxiliary of the Newtown VFW Post.
Surviving are her husband, Henry; three sons, Thomas, Carbondale; Joseph, Philadelphia, and Paul, Elizabeth, N. J.; five daughters, Mrs. Gordon Howatt, Salisbury, Md.; Mrs. Arthur LaPoint, Mrs. Roy Crawford, Mrs. Leo Marconi, all of Mountaintop; Mrs. Glen Brown, Lehman; two brothers, Joseph, Honesdale, and Alviron Van Dreisn, Binghamton, N. Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Kleber, Claymont, Del.; Mrs. William Matier, Pottsville; 30 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Graham Funeral Home, 329 South Franklin Street, Monday at 10. A requiem mass will be celebrated in St. Leo's Church at 10:30. Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call tonight, 7 to 10, and Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 10.
