Funeral services for Lavonne Bamburg Campbell, 84, of Bossier City, LA will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, July 1, 2016 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel, Coushatta, LA with Bro. Charles Odom officiating and speaker, Sis. Gloria Watts. Interment will follow in Thomas-Wren Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Campbell was born July 2, 1931 in Gilmer, TX and passed away June 29, 2016. Lavonne was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was raised in Coushatta, LA and resided in Bossier City, LA 56 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lester H. Campbell; son, Michael Campbell; mother and father, Dan Bamburg and Olive Davis; sisters, Margie Brown, Dorothy and Snook Breedlove, Marie and Tom Vanderbuilt; brothers, Early and Bank Hutchinson, Melton and Melvin Bamburg; and grandson, Stewart Pickett.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by two sons, Lester Mahonie “Bubba” Campbell and wife, Grace and Anthony “Tony” Campbell and Pam Williams all of Bossier City, LA; two granddaughters, Lisa Ballew and husband, Bobby, Jr. and Debra Cooper and husband, Michael of Waco, TX; one grandson, Duston Pickett of Bossier City, LA; three great-grandsons, Martin and Aaron Ballew of Bossier City, LA and Carson Cooper of Waco, TX; five great-granddaughters, Kendal Cooper “Angel”, Molly Cooper “Princess”, and Campbell Cooper all of Waco, TX and Carmen and Kaleigh Pickett of Bossier City, LA; two special nieces, Joanne Bryant and Janell Odom; along with lots of nieces and nephews. She loved them all.

Special friends Wayne Bamburg, Dick and Debra Irvin, Shirley Fortune, Roma Dawson and daughter, Tifani and Caleb Brinkman, employees at Kroger on Barksdale Blvd. and Kangaroo Express on Barksdale Blvd.

Pallbearers will be Marty Bamburg, David Breedlove, Hayston Breedlove, Bobby Logan, Bobby Ballew, Jr., and Gary Page. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe and Sue LeJune and Ronnie and Gloria Watts.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Bernard and staff, Attorney Robert Bethard for always being there when she needed him, Paxton Ross and Carol Ayers, Joe and Sue LeJune, Ronnie and Gloria Watts and Peter Ryan.
