Willard Lee Miller, 71, Anadarko, Oklahoma, was born November 4, 1942, south of Anadarko, to JJ and Margie Ruth (Brown) Miller. He passed from this life on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Physicians Hospital in Anadarko, after an extended illness.
Willard was born and raised in Anadarko and graduated from Anadarko High School. He married Sandra Kay Brown on June 14, 1963. He was an assistant manager for Humpty Dumpty in Anadarko, before going to work at the Goodyear plant in Lawton, retiring in 2002. Willard never missed a day of work in his 23 years at Goodyear often driving in ice and snow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, William Jesse James and Dera Ann "Presley" Miller and maternal grandparents Charles Masie Brown and Susan Jett (Buffer) Brown
He is survived by his wife of the home, Sandra Kay Miller; two daughters, Geri Brown and husband, Mark of Midwest City, Teri Igo and husband, Russ of Anadarko; 6 Grandchildren, Joel Brown, Tampa, FL, Devon Miller, Anadarko, Ivy Brown, Midwest City, Russ Martin "Ryder" Igo Jr.,Jewelee Marie Igo, Morgan Ann Igo of all Anadarko; one great grandchild, Jalyn Madison Brown of Panama City, FL; one brother, Jerry Miller and wife Shari, Yukon, OK; one sister, LaGuenda Williams, Anadarko, OK; one aunt, Geneva Brown Harris, Cement, OK; 2 sister n laws, Marcy O'Malley of Lawton and Zetta Griffith and husband Harold of Eustace, TX; 3 brother in laws, Jimmy Brown and wife Linda, Ft. Stockton, TX, Russell Dean Brown and wife Bettie of Forney, TX, Roy Brown and wife Linda of Plano, TX; a niece DeeDee Hendricks and husband Marty and their children Traelyn and Braxtyn; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.steversonfuneralhome.com.
