"Anneta Weston passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on May 24, 2014 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She lived a full life devoted to family, faith, and teaching. Anneta was born November 10, 1944 in Coleman, Texas to Earl Lemuel Morris and Martha Lucille Rhodes Morris. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Rhodes Erwin Morris and Earl Edwin Morris. She is survived by her sister, Gale Morris Woodruff Altman and husband, Charles.

"Anneta was blessed with two children, son, Morris Rhodes Weston and daughter, Amanda Catherine Weston Lindskog and her husband, John. She was also the proud grandmother of Hayden Rhodes Weston and Brinkley LeeAyn Weston.

"Anneta graduated from Coleman High School and her love for education and teaching led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Education and later a Master Degree in Elementary Education from University of North Texas. She worked for thirty years as an educator and teacher in Dallas ISD and Plano ISD.

"Her love for teaching was recognized by being selected 2000 -2001 Teacher of the Year at Meadows Elementary School in Plano ISD.

"Before Anneta's retirement from Plano ISD, she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an International Society for Key Women Educators, MuMu Chapter in Plano. She was also an active member of Plano Area Educators and the Texas Art Education Association.

"Anyone having met Anneta knew immediately of her love for God, her love for family and friends, and her love for life. Her quick wit, her contagious enthusiasm for teaching and art and her gentle guidance and wisdom will be missed but forever treasured by many, especially her students who she loved as her own.

"Anneta's children would like to express their gratitude for the care that their mother was given at Sunrise of Frisco and Presbyterian Hospital in Plano."
