Bernice passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake, she was 90 years old, homemaker and resident and native of Plaquemine. Visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine on Thursday, May 29, from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am celebrated by Rev. Greg Daigle. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by three children, Karen Hebert Persick and husband Terry "Sookie" Persick, Gail Hebert Thibodeaux and husband Kim "T-Bo" Thibodeaux, Terry David Hebert and wife Lilla Reeves Hebert; sister Merle Marchand Borruano and husband Angelo Borruano, Sr.; twelve grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband James Chester Hebert, Sr.; parents Herman and Augustine Dodier Marchand; two children Barbara Hebert LeJeune and James "Jimmy" Chester Hebert, Jr.; grandson Jason Adam LeJeune; two sisters Nathalie Marchand Hebert and Helen Marchand Hebert. Special thanks to the entire staff of Our Lady of the Lake, especially the ICU unit and the Palliative Care Medicine Group. Also thanks to all the family and friends who supported her throughout her 90 years of life.
