PEKIN, IL - Chester M. Clauser, 94, of 1461 Valle Vista Drive died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 1998, at Pekin Hospital.
Born Dec. 10, 1903, in Manito to George H. and Mary Etta Lintz Clauser, he married Dorothy L. Worner on March 28, 1929, in Green Valley. She died March 14, 1994.
He also was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, one foster sister and one grandson.
Surviving are one son, two daughters, 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was a farmer in the Manito and Green Valley area, retiring in 1968. He was a member of the Tazewell County Farm Bureau; Lodge 476, AF&AM in Manito; the Pekin Barbershoppers; the Manito Band; and the Forest City Band.
He was a member of Green Valley United Methodist Church and its Men's Club.
Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
