She was born on a farm northwest of Aurora, the daughter of Swedish immigrants, and she lived on the farm until her marriage, and had lived in and near Aurora her entire life.

On October 15, 1913, she was united in marriage to John Henthorn at Lincoln, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1945.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Monroe Evangelical Church northwest of Aurora and was a member of the H.E.O. Club.

Her life had been devoted to family, and since the death of her husband, had done cooking and baking in her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Elmer Blixt, five sisters, Jennie Lundstrom, Minnie Hewitt, Esther Swanson, Emma Graham, and Hilda Blixt; an infant sister and one infant grandchild.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are two sons, John Jr. of San Diego, California and Robert of McCook; two daughters, Virginia Jaeke of Shelton and Shirley Ludwig of Aurora; one sister Mae Ready of California; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
