Scaffold Fall Fatal for Franklin B. Henschler
Franklin B. Henschler, 41, 12239 Ann st., foreman for the Malysa Construction company here, died at Loretto hospital Friday morning as the result of a fall received while working the previous day on the job at the construction of the Hot Point building on Cicero ave. Mr. Henschler fell from a scaffolding.
A coronor's inquest held Saturday at the funeral home at 2601 Vermont returned a verdict of accidental death from shock in connection with the fall which caused a fractured leg and other injuries.
Mr Henschler was born in Blue Island on Dec. 16, 1909, the son of Ewald and Valeska (nee Dost) Henschler and had resided here all his life.
At rest in the funeral home at 2601 Vermont from Saturday evening until the hour of the funeral which was held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Geo. W. Knapp pastor of the Community Evangelical Church, officiating.
Interment was in the family lot at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Henschler was the husband of Agnes (nee Howard), father of Wayne and Kenneth, son of Ewald and the late Valeska Henschler, brother of Mrs. Edna Schumacher, Mrs. Marguerite Childers, Raymond and the late Pvt. Edward, U.S. Army, a paratrooper who was killed in action in the Netherlands on Sept. 20, 1944.
