Services for Clarence J. Klauer, 80, of 500 Edith St. will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church.
Entombment will be in the Resurreciton Garden Mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetry. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Gene Siegert & Son Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where the Knights of Columbus will say the rosary at 4:30 p.m. Sunday and the parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Klauer, who was born in Dubuque, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday at Finley Hospital. He was chairman of the board of Klauer Optical Co., which he co-founded in May 1939. He was a member of Sacred Heart Holly Name Society; St. Vincent De Paul Society; Dubuque Shooting Society 660; Elks Club; Knights of Columbus, Council 510; Dubuque Men's Association; Opticians Association of Iowa; and Opticians Association of America.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth M. Stierman; a daughter, Mrs. Dick (Joni) Davison of Dubuque; two sons, John of Saratoga, Calif., and Don of Dubuque, and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be give to Sacred Heart Church or any charity.
