George Burton ALLEN was born on November 17, 1909, in Sandy Creek, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. His father, John Clayton Allen, was 40 and his mother, Elfreda Jane (Armour) Allen, was 43. He married Alice Ruth STALLSMITH on Christmas Day, December 25, 1936. They had seven children in 18 years. He died in July 1976 in the Corning Hospital, Corning, NY, after a sudden illness while camping in New York, at the age of 66, and is buried in Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville, Pennsylvania.
