Dale Benjamin, 80, of Anderson, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born to Mabel (Martin) and Fred Benjamin on February 26, 1934. He resided in Anderson his entire life.
He graduated from Anderson High School in 1953. He was employed at Delco-Remy Division of General Motors in skilled trades and retired after 37 years of service. He was a 50 year member of Fellowship Masonic Lodge 681. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He married Martha Skaggs York in September, 1965. She preceded him in death in December 2013.
He is survived by the following: three children, Cynthia (William) Byer of Anderson, Michael Benjamin, and Jeffrey Benjamin of Carmel; two step-daughters, Brenda (Dan) Catron of Kokomo, and Barbara (Ronald) Baughman of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Heather (Bob) Kirk, Stephanie Lowe (Josh Riggin), Jennifer Lowe and Kyle Benjamin; five step grandchildren, Brad Baughman, Zachary Baughman, Gretchen Catron, Steve (Janelle) Baughman and Heather Baughman; two great grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard at age nine. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28th in the chapel at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
