Harold W. Beardslee, 79, of 3111 9 1/2 St. Rock Island, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at United Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island. Entombment is in Calvary Mausoleum, Rock Island.
Visitation is 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Beardslee was born April 20, 1912, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Charles and Fanette Wray Beardslee. He married Helen M. Owens Oct. 28, 1935, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She died Oct. 21, 1989.
He was employed by the former International Harvester Co., Farmall Works, Rock Island, for 36 years, and was a foreman in the core room when he retired in 1972.
He had been a charter member of the former Mill Creek Country Club, Milan, now called Pinnacle Country Club, of which he was also a member. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include daughters, Rita Ingwersen, Davenport, Susan Steele, Taylor Ridge, and Judith Mullen, Glenview, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
