Ralph Edward Montgomery, 82, of Russellville, AR, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2006 at Stella Manor Nursing and Rehab in Russellville, AR.

The son of Gardner and Vicie Ellen Wright Montgomery, he was born November 1, 1923 in Boaz, Alabama.

He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.

He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Auburn.

He married Virginia Hearne, on June 29, 1970. After 20 years of service he retired from Tyson, Inc. At the time of his retirement he was Vice President of the Eastern Division.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Montgomery; one brother & one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Ginny) Montgomery of the home; five daughters, Mona Sue Lassig & husband James of Gonzalez, TX., Stephanie Wilson & husband Eddie of Morrilton, AR., Christie Rye & Paul of Conway, AR., Nina Chiolino & husband Geno of Russellville, AR., And Marcia Montgomery of Russellville, AR.; 11 grandchildren, Deanise Koenig, Nichole Rodriguez, Victoria Pringle, Lori & Jeffrey Montgomery, Adriane Irachetta, Jimmy Wilson, Ali & Shelby Rye, Frank & Paul Chiolino; 7 great grandchildren; one brother, John Montgomery of Alabama; one sister, Dorothy Blair of Tennessee.


His funeral was held at 2:00p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Humphrey Chapel.

The Reverend Mackey Yokem officiated.

Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service.

Full military honors by Rogers-Rye VFW Post #2283.
Active Pallbearers are Paul Rye, Geno Chiolino, Eddie Wilson, Buck Tarver, Danny Tarver, Jr.; Hubert Hearne III
