Donna Belle Galloway Johnson, 89, of Walling, passed away May 17, 2014, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.
Mrs. Galloway was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Cordell Galloway and Amanda Belle McBride Galloway.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennie Reed "Dink" Johnson; son, Ronnie Johnson; daughter, Beverly Ledford and husband James; granddaughter, Monica Johnson; grandson, Shane Ledford; sisters, Betty Sue Schaffner, Ida Cooper; and brothers, Charles, Burl and Billy Galloway.
Survivors include her children, Danny Johnson and wife Kathy, of Columbus, Ohio, Donna Glo Geer and husband Kenneth, of Sparta, Robin Rigsby and husband Jeff, of Rock Island; daughter-in-law, Frances Johnson, of Walling; grandchildren, Stephen, Michael and Mathew Johnson, Misty Chase, Tammy Crow, Shannon Gulick, Buffy Howard, Joshua Hathcock, Brandy Rigsby, Tabitha Oakley; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Johnnie Ruth Young, of Sparta; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Linda Howard, Kerry Webb and Margaret Hawkins.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m., May 31, 2014, at Thurman Funeral Home, with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. Bro. Arlin Bryant will officiate. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m., May 31, at the funeral home.
The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Spring Hill Cemetery Fund, in care of Marie Howard, 2130 Country Club Rd., Sparta, Tennessee 38583.
