Rudolph W. Baack Sr., 78, of 521 Michigan St, Sheboygan Falls, died early today at Heritage Nursing Center, Sheboygan, where he had resided since last May.

Born Sept. 25, 1892, in Klemme, Iowa, he was a son of the late William and Anna Baack.

He came to Sheboygan Falls in 1934 where he worked in construction until 1949 when he was employed by the City of Falls as cemetery sexton.

He married the former Anna Backus in Kewaskum. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Backus was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls

Survivors are two sons, Rudolph Jr., and Eugene, both of Falls; four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Meta Brinkman, Klemme, Iowa.

A son, sister and five brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Church, with the Rev. Leroy Rittenback, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Huehns Funeral Home in Falls from 4 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday and at the church from noon until time of services.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Baack's name for St. Paul Church.
