Mary Z. Lee, 87, of Pendleton and formerly of Peru, passed away Oct. 26, 2011 at Rawlins House after an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 11, 1924 in Barnhill, Ill., the daughter of George and Edith Edna (Ewing) Robinson. She lived in Peru until moving to Pendleton in 2009 and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Salem Community Church in Peru and enjoyed sewing, knitting and ceramics.
She is survived by five children, Carolyn Carter of Novi, Mich., Dan (wife, Tersa) Lee of Pendleton, Gary (wife, Mary Jo) Lee of Anderson, Janice (husband, Tom) Cable of Rochester and Robert D. (wife, Sandy) Lee of Mount Pleasant; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and brother, Floyd (wife, Liz) Robinson of Fairfield, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Lee; son Jon Carter; one brother; and two sisters.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service with burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
